Sizing Guide

We know that shopping online can be hard, especially when it’s for vintage. Because the sizing of vintage clothing is outdated compared to modern sizing, we make sure to provide the key measurements for each garment. We also list the model's height and measurements for reference.

If you ever have any questions about sizing or need additional measurements, please don't hesitate to contact us at: hello@shopberriez.com

All of our measurements are taken flat, which means we provide the measurement of only one side of a garment. Below are explanations of the key measurements we list:

- Pit to pit: This is the measurement from the middle point of one armpit to the other. For an accurate measure of the garment, double the number listed. For example, I have a 46" bust, so I look for tops that measure at least 23" pit to pit. It also helps to compare measurements with another garment in your closet!

- Waist: This is the measurement of the garment’s natural waist line — the smallest part of the garment’s midsection. For an accurate measure of the garment, double the number listed. For example, I have a 37" waist, so I need the garment's waist to be at least 18.5" laying flat.

- Hip: This is the measurement of the widest part of the hips. Make sure to take this measurement completely around with your feet together. For an accurate measure of the garment, double the number listed.

- Length: This is the full length of the garment. For dresses and shirts, we measure from shoulder to hem. For pants and shorts, we provide the inseam – the measurement from the crotch to the bottom of the leg – instead of the length.

Even though size charts aren't always the most accurate, here's our best shot at one. When we say a garment fits like a particular size, the approximate measurements we are referring to are listed below:
