It Started in Grandma’s Closet
It all started in my grandma’s closet — a space filled with color, choice, and stories. Berriez was born from a memory there: Slipping into one of my grandmother’s vintage pieces and, for the first time, feeling like fashion finally fit. My grandmother was unafraid to stand out, a modern-day size 14 who picked clothing that matched her energy.
When I inherited a few of her clothes, I didn’t just find my style, I found my point of view on fashion — and realized that I wanted to help others find theirs.
That discovery — a spark, really — eventually turned into Berriez: a size-inclusive, vintage-forward brand that reclaims fashion for bodies of all sizes. We offer curated vintage, reworked pieces, and exclusive designer collections, all chosen with intention, made to fit, and designed to stand out.

Hi, I’m Emma. When I was 12, I cried in a Macy’s dressing room while shopping for my Bat Mitzvah dress. It was one of many moments that made me realize: fashion wasn’t made for bodies like mine.
I’ve always loved clothes, but for years, shopping felt like an uphill battle— until I discovered the perfect vintage slip in my grandmother’s closet. That discovery changed my life, and my perspective on dressing.
In 2018, I launched Berriez as an Instagram page to sell plus-size vintage from my own collection. I never expected it to grow the way it did, but the demand was loud, and the community showed up.
Now, I run Berriez full-time from an ever-evolving studio in Brooklyn. I style clients, build collaborations, and source pieces that center curves, color, and self-expression. My mission is simple: make fashion fun and accessible for people who’ve spent too long on the sidelines. Because getting dressed should feel like a joy, not a compromise.
